Mummy & daddy I’m here to stay

I know you’ve wished for me every single day.

There were lots of storms in the past

But here I am, the rainbow at last.

IVF how special, what a rollercoaster ride

I knew we would end up together, side by side.

When others may have given up or let go,

You kept believing, and now here I grow.

Mummy, before I arrived, you weren’t so sure,

If breastfeeding was something you’d endure.

But it became our quiet, happy place,

My favourite cuddle, your warm embrace.

Together we learnt, one feed at a time,

With patience, love and a reason to climb.

Now eight months on, we’re still going strong,

Thank you for believing in us all along.

Our adventures together have only begun,

Three hearts forever beating as one.

We’ll laugh, we’ll learn, we’ll dream afar,

I’ll love you past the moon, beyond the stars.

Your miracle boy just wanted to say,

Thank you for choosing me every single day.
